Best Universities in Canada for Studying Psychology

Psychology is a field of study popular worldwide, both at undergraduate and postgraduate. It is the study of human behavior seen from a variety of perspectives, including social, biological and development. In Canada, major universities have programs of popular psychology taught by experts in the field, but only a few stand out above the rest.

York University

Psychology programs at York University in Toronto, comprise the largest department of psychology in Canada. The faculty has more than 80 members, many of whom are leaders in their field of international renown. University of Toronto

The University of Toronto is one of the oldest in Canada, having opened its doors in 1827. However, psychology has not reached the status of department until 1927. Today, focused on research into one of the top universities offered programs research in the world and the best in Canada. More than 60 full-time members and 20 members from different departments help form a highly organized department that offers students many options for classes and research. A grade level, offers a four-year degree, and graduate level, there is a one-year master's degree and a doctorate of four. The main areas of research are brain and behavior development, social and personal abnormalities, and neuroscience of perception and knowledge. McGill University

McGill is a leader in the areas of psychology and psychological research university. This is one of the most competitive in Canada and worldwide known departments. The faculty and students are published in many academic and scientific publications throughout the year, based on work done at the university. Degree students in psychology have the option of a degree in arts or sciences. The doctoral program, which is the most competitive part of the department admits 10 to 20 students per year, a total of 230 candidates. Those who are admitted may choose between the fields of experimental psychology or clinical psychology.
