To become a doctor in the United States, you must comply with some of the most comprehensive and rigorous educational requirements. Doctors usually complete the conditions of university education in eight to ten years and takes three to seven years to complete the requirements for additional training before becoming eligible to apply for a license to practice medicine.
follow these tips and Instructions
1
Complete and get a degree in art or science of the university. Usually, students interested in medical school completed a degree of Bachelor of Science, but this is not really necessary to join. Most medical schools will consider applicants who have a title, even in other areas. However, most of these require certain approved materials science and mathematics before entering. For example, the School of Medicine at Harvard requires that medical students complete a year of biology and two years of experience in chemical laboratories, a year of physics, a calculation year and a year of expository writing. These basic requirements are common in most medical schools in the United States, but you should check with each school about their specific policies and additional courses recommended.
2
The MCAT is designed to measure students' knowledge and skills in four critical areas: writing, verbal assessment, life sciences and physical sciences. It Introduces Admission Test Colleges of Medicine (MCAT for its acronym in English).
3
Join and Graduate in a medical school. Medical career usually has four years to graduate. During those four years, students should address preclinical and clinical studies. The pre-clinical studies are usually completed in the first two years and consist of courses related to biology, health, anatomy, medicine, chemistry and research. The next two years, medical students begin clinical studies, which consist of more practice and research.
4
Get your degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD for its acronym in English). Once the student completes medical school, you get an MD. But even with an MD, you will need additional training before you can practice medicine in the US
5
Enter a residency program. Doctors may request residency programs in most hospitals and medical facilities in the US The residences last on average between three to seven years. Some residences are longer because they require more time to learn certain specialties in medicine. For example, a doctor specializing in family medicine residency completed in three years, but one specialized in general surgery residency can not be completed within five years. Some are even longer.
6
Get a license to practice medicine. After completing undergraduate school, medical school and residency, doctors must be backed with a license by the Medical Board of the State where they exercise their profession. To find more information about individual licenses in each state, check the Resources section. Some states may require doctors to go through a fingerprint check by the FBI.
