School of Medicine, University of Florida (UF COM, according to its acronym in English) accepts students who have already achieved a bachelor's degree and also a honorary assistant medical program that allows students to obtain a Bachelor of Science and a doctorate in medicine (MD, for its acronym in English) in seven years. Enter medical school is competitive; UF COM does not have a minimum standard for grade point averages and test scores for admission to medical school but the average scores of accepted students are quite high: a GPA of 3.72 and 31.75 Science in MCAT. It requires that all students have access to a computer and have completed the required pre overall chemistry, biochemistry, physics, organic chemistry and biology courses before admission. Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami have doctorates and honors programs. The pre Required courses include physics, biology, chemistry and organic chemistry, two semesters of science and additional language. Credits from colleges and testing program at the university level are not accepted, but the Advanced Placement credits in language, biology and inorganic chemistry are acceptable provided they are tested and are displayed on a college transcript. The program honors school allows high school graduates work toward a dual BS degree and doctorate in seven or eight years. Admission to the program is very selective. Students must earn a minimum score of 1400 on the SAT, the range of 5 percent of their graduating class and have a minimum GPA of 3.75. Students interested in attending the School of Medicine at the State University of Florida must apply through the application service of the US medical college (AMCAS, according to its acronym in English). You will be invited only candidates selected from the group of AMCAS to present a package of formal medical school application. The application consists of many parts including a minimum of three letters of recommendation, personal photos and college official transcripts are included. The pre Required courses include biochemistry, physics, organic chemistry, biology and language and are highly recommended classes in Spanish, genetics, psychology and social sciences.
