Best place to watch the ball drop in Times Square New York

Finding the best place to watch the ball drop in Times Square in New York. One of the best things about the new year is to see the glittering ball drop in Times Square in New York. This ceremony is held from December 31, 1907; replacing the flashy fireworks of last century. Yes, you can see it on TV, but nowhere near the feeling of being there. Here are the best places to do so.

Tips and Instructions

1.Look at the celebration from a privileged place in the hotel room. But you must plan it well in advance: Hotels in and around Times Square are filled long before the new year. Most hotels overlooking Times Square deplete their seats in April or May.

2.Book at the Renaissance Hotel in Times Square, which undoubtedly offers the best view. Foley's restaurant, inside the hotel, serves excellent seafood and has a very good view of Times Square.

3. Other hotels overlooking Times Square are the Marriot Marquis, Hilton, Weston, the Time Hotel, Novotel and the Hampton Inn Times Square North.

 4. Choose your hotel room carefully. Decide if you want a room overlooking the street action or a quieter. You must be prepared for the noise after midnight, when the crowd began to disperse.

 5. Times Square restaurants offer packages of new year, and some also have a view. Try to book a table at John's Pizzeria, Becco (Italian), McHale's (American food), Virgil's (barbecue) or Ruby Foo's (Chinese food).
6.If you want to be in the heart of the action and see the ball falling from the street, the best places are along 7th Avenue to 59th Street and Broadway Street from 43 to 50.

7.Arrive early if you want a good place; approximately between 750,000 and a million people come there every year. Most arrive early in the afternoon for a place with good view.
