The University of British Columbia (University of British Columbia, or UBC for its acronym in English) ranks as one of the best universities in the world. UBC was founded in 1908 and is internationally recognized for its advanced research. Located just outside downtown Vancouver, UBC has an aesthetic quality, with a snowcapped mountain, sea and frequented Botanical Garden and Centre for Plant Research.
