Larry and Penny Thompson Park is a park and adjacent to the Miami Metrozoo camp. The park covers 270 acres (667 hectares) of forest in southern Florida and offers numerous flange circuits and mountain trails as well as 240 separate campgrounds. A large freshwater lake and beach is located within the park and includes three large water slides carved into a rock mountain.
