In 2006, Money magazine ranked the city as the fifth best place to live.
San Francisco
San Francisco's population was estimated at 805,000, according to the US Census in 2010, making it the fourth most populous city in California and an increase of 3 percent since 2000. Located on the San Francisco peninsula leading to the Pacific Ocean, the city is famous for attractions such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf. This city is also known for its cable cars, its sloping hills and neighborhoods, including Pacific Heights, Chinatown and Nob Hill.
